Kim presents “Literary Washington,” a slide/lecture followed by a Q&A on DC’s early literary communities and most famous authors. Fee charged; cost includes a copy of the book A Literary Guide to Washington, D.C. Fee also includes an optional guided walking tour on Paul Lawrence Dunbar and Alice Dunbar-Nelson in LeDroit Park, and the black elites drawn to the capital during and after Reconstruction (class participants can choose between tours on Friday, Nov. 16 or Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10:00 am to noon).
