Kim reads her prose poem series, “Corona/Crown,” inspired by the photographs of Robert Revere, in this cross-disciplinary presentation. Photos of art from around the world, as well as museum-goers interacting with the art, is combined with Kim’s poetry. Works of art featured include those by John Constable, Louise Nevelson, Frederic Edwin Church, and such diverse museums as the Natural History Museum of Crete, Katara Cultural Village in Qatar, and the Giant Heart at the Franklin Institute of Science in Philadelphia. These were works and places that Robert and Kim found themselves longing for during the pandemic, so they created a hybrid collection of their own–one that addresses the presence and absence of humans in these cultural spaces, and probes the nature of what we consider beautiful. Followed by a discussion with Kim and Rob on the process of collaboration and an audience Q&A. This is a hybrid event, which will be held simultaneously in person and virtually. The in-person event will be followed by a cocktail reception. Free admission; registration required.
