What’s your story? The Folger Shakespeare Library’s Works in Progress is a series of workshops and conversations in playwriting, poetry, and songwriting, open to all, especially for those at the beginning of their creative journeys. Kim will teach the poetry workshops with Teri Ellen Cross Davis. We will look at sonnets–the enduring appeal of Shakespeare’s sonnets, the rich history of the form, and how contemporary American poets continue to play with the sonnet tradition to create something new. Select either the in-person workshop on Jan. 27, or virtual workshop on Jan. 25. Panel discussion with all workshop leaders on Jan. 24, and showcase of participants’ works on Jan. 29 also included. Fees charged; pre-registration required.
