Kim leads “They Walk on the Sea: Personification and Gender.” In this workshop, participants will look at some of the complex ways that gender operates as they create a voice for an inanimate object or abstract concept. Presented as part of the Arts Club of Washington’s 2023 LGBTQ+ Poets in Residence program; sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts. Free admission; pre-registration required.
The Arts Club of Washington is an accessible space. Participants will be asked to wear masks (masks provided for those without). No prior poetry writing experience is required. Offered on a first-come basis to queer writers and their allies. Limited to 20 participants. This is the first of the Club’s monthly free public poetry events through June.
